I have a weed growing in many places on my property. It seems to be some form of mint (square, fuzzy stems, fuzzy toothed leaves, spreads like mad) but it doesn't smell minty to me at all.
It definitely has a strong smell, but I would call it more soapy maybe? It's not a smell I enjoy, but it's not foul.
From the photos I've found, I'm guessing it's hyssop, but I'm not sure.
It seems fond of cooler spots with loose soil or mulch, which at least makes it easier to yank out.
