i just pruned my basil plants, and picked the leafs off the trimings, and they are currently drying.

but there are also a good amount of flowers, what can i do with these? can those be dried as well??

i can't put them in the compost because of the seeds right? but won't the seeds just be composted as well?

Pinch the flowers off to encourge the growth of the basit plant. If you let the flowers go to seed, you can use them to sow in your garden next spring.

Thank you and Happy Gardening! ~ Sarah

I like putting them in ice cube trays and freeze them, once frozen I put them in freezer bags, so I can used them in small quantities when I needed them. Great way on preserving their flavor when you have plenty of dried ones already. - Jhun
