Does anyone know the best way to keep the birds out of the yard when fresh seed has been planted. Apart from standing out there and shooing them away every second! Not that I have the time for that..LOL.

Place sticks on the ground that protrudes higher than the birds can reach the seeds. Embed them on the ground close enough to each other so that the birds will not be able to alight on the plot where the seeds are planted.

Oh, that is a really good idea. I haven't heard of that one before. But if your yard is a pretty good size, that would mean a lot of sticks. Thanks for the advice.
