While cutting my grass recently I noticed what appears to be patches of heather starting to grow. We have heather in the garden so I'm pretty sure this is what it is. My question is, how do I get rid of it and, how do I prevent more from taking root? Any help much appreciated.

You could try to dig it up, but make sure you get all the roots out. You could also try spraying it with Roundup, but remember that this will also kill the grass that you spary on.

The beauty with using Roundup is - once the product has dried, you can then re-seed the treated areas.

Hope this helps?
