I maintain my lawn through effective weed control and proper mowing. What kind of fertilizer should I use chemical or organic? I believe using this will keep the grass healthy. What should be the first thing I must consider?

First to be considered is where you live, the season of the year and the type of grass that you grow. It is best to apply fertilizer when your grass is actively growing. Avoid fertilizing your lawn when it is excessively dry. Remove excessive thatch that would prevent the fertilizer from reaching the soil. Both chemical and organic fertilizer can be used for your lawn, depending on your preference.

I should use organic fertilizer. I was thinking of its availability. Do you think we can buy this in the market? What could be the effect if we put fertilizer on a dry lawn? I thought that would be fine.

I think anytime you can use organic over chemicals you should always go that route. I don't want to pour chemicals in my yard if I don't have to.
