| I have 3 acres, at least an acre of which, is heavily overgrown with weeds, and small brush. I know I can cut it all down, but, how do I keep it from coming back next Spring? Is there a chemical that will kill the brush and weeds, but still allow me to plant grass? Any advice will be appreciated. | | | |

| Try marking off maybe a 3'x3' section. After a good rainfall, start pulling the weeds by grasping firmly and rocking them out, getting as much root as possible. After doing this turn the soil over if you see any roots take them out (keep some paper close to put the roots and weeds in, this saves time later). Do not worry about the old mulch, it will mix in when you turn the soil over. By doing it in manageable sections it will not be overwhelming, and once you get the hang of it, you will find yourself doing bigger sections at a time. Don't get discouraged, you'll get there and actually will be amazed when you are finished, in fact take photos before you start.

| Got a job like this also from a local Real Estate Agent who give me a lot of business. Have a regular book with them of clients and I would say I loook after them pretty well.
The job is a normal house block but is overgrown with weeds/grass etc and hasent been looked at for over 12 months. It is on a slope of about 45 degrees and I would also suggest is full of builders rubbish from next door.
Using a Bobcat I would need a bungy cord or something to get it done, if I use a brush cutter I would need a safety cord attached to my truck. Thinking of spraying it with Roundup and coming back in 2 weeks time or so.
Any suggestions. | | | |
