I am really struggling with a gardenia that someone gave me. First it dropped all of the buds that were on it when i got it so i cut back on the watering and started bottom feeding it and found a location with less direct sun. It seemed to be doing better and some new growth has started but the tips of some of the leaves are turning dark brown. I also started fertilizing it a bit, could that be the problem because i have read that brown tips on leaves is a sign of overfertilizing? Any advice would be most appreciated.
