Hi guys,

I am going to be doing a job for a large commercial premises. There is a large area of lawn that is basically dirt as it is surrounded in gum trees.

The client would like me to put in some form of ground cover in this area as he would like the dirt covered up basically.

I had thought of grevillia curviloba but then i think i read somewhere they need some decent water. Another thought was a ground cover called Baby Sun Rose but i don't know much about it.

Any thoughts on a suitable ground cover ? As the gum trees are around i am thinking it would have to be a native type ground cover, one that is very hardy and will survive on rainwater alone.

If its got lots of shade you can't go past Australian native violet(Viola reniformis) or kidney weed(Dichondra micrantha). There hardy, spread well and do well under trees
