ENCAP’s® Seed Watering Technology™ Helps Gardeners and Green Thumbs from Overwatering

Green Bay, WI, June 29, 2009 – ENCAP®, a Midwest-based lawn and garden technology company which creates eco-friendly products, provides environmentally conscience gardeners another solution for everyday lawn care problems with its versatile innovation, the Seed Watering Guide™ also know as SWT™ (Seed Watering Technology™). SWT™ is integrated into the company’s wide range of eco-friendly retail products, many  of which are made from recycled office paper.

Known as Sparkle®, a university tested cross linked polyacrylamide, acts as the visual indicator of SWT™, swelling up into diamond-like crystals that sparkle in the sunlight when watered. When consumers see Sparkle® on their lawn, it signals that enough water has been applied, preventing costly and wasteful overwatering. Sparkle® then releases the water it absorbed at a consistent rate ensuring optimal moisture is present to maximize seed germination and plant establishment. When the consumer can no longer see Sparkle® present, it is time to water again. Tested on a multi-platform basis by accredited researchers at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, SWT™ accurately indicates the presence of adequate surface moisture for optimum seed germination and establishment, and accurately indicates when additional moisture is required. Additionally, the study discovered that Sparkle® not only reacts to air conditions, but also to which type of soil it is placed on, making SWT™ a valuable and economic resource for any consumer, regardless of their location. “In addition to ENCAP’s® Advanced Soil Technology™, which acts as an invisible net on consumers’ lawns to help keep nutrients in, both experienced gardeners and weekend green thumbs now have the ability to apply the correct amount of water to ensure that their flowers stay up and their water bill stays down,” said Michael Krysiak, CEO of ENCAP®.

ENCAP’s® Seed Watering Technology™, helps to ensure consumers are not overwatering, and is included  in a multitude of the company’s various eco-friendly products.  These products include various flower kits, Grass Repair Kit™ and New Lawn Kit®, which includes seed, mulch and fertilizer; everything DIY’ers need to achieve beautiful flowers or a lush-green lawn. Each of ENCAP’s® products and soil technologies are available nationwide at Lowe’s, Home Depot, Stein’s Gardens and Gifts and Menards, as well as fine home and garden stores across the country.

LOL, my kids always accuse me of never having enough bling! Wait till the whole lawn is sparkling! I am very bad at knowing when it is time to water and where. I am thinking it would be perfect for those areas around the outter edge that have a slant where the water has a hard time soaking in.
