Below is a listing of different ways to use lawn clippings. Clippings are actually very important organic matter that is much too valuable to throw away.
1.      Leave the clippings on the lawn.  They are rich in nitrogen and other nutrients that are great for your grass, which may reduce the amount of fertilizer you need to apply
2.      Compost clippings. Mix clippings and some garden soil, then lightly moisten with a hose. You will have a nice earthy compost in a matter of weeks.
3.      Use as mulch. Spread around the base of vegetables, trees or shrubs. As the mulch breaks down it will add nutrients to the soil and improve soil texture.
