Indoor, outdoor container and small area gardening is a booming market. Over 30 percent of gardening is a year-round activity now. ENCAP® has created a line of essential soil solution products to meet the needs of this growing market. Two of the products, Lime Plus AST™ and Sulfur Plus AST™, help adjust soil pH. Proper pH is essential for plants to be able to thrive, produce food and develop healthy fruit and leaves. The other two products, Gypsum Plus AST™ and Iron Plus AST™, provide soil conditioning and essential minerals for healthy growth. • Iron deficiency is a very common yet generally unrecognized problem.  Often, gardeners add more fertilizer when the cure is a simple application of Iron Plus AST™.  Plants use iron in the formation of chlorophyll in the leaves. When iron is lacking, new growth is yellow and plant leafs may become almost white and die back near the tips. Iron Plus ASTTM is scientifically proven to be 10 times more effective at holding iron in place.
• Sometimes standard fertilizer is not enough to get that beautiful healthy garden or potted plant, it requires balanced soil. ENCAP® has combined finely ground gypsum with their AST™, Advanced Soil Technology™ creating Gypsum Plus AST™. Gypsum is Natures Aerator™. In any type of soil, Gypsum Plus AST™ binds to other plant nutrients while also conditioning the soil by increasing water penetration and reducing erosion. Also, use Gypsum Plus AST™  around sidewalks where winter salt can have a negative effect.
• Fast Acting Lime™ quickly and effectively raises soil pH. The more acidic the soil, the less likely some plants will flourish. The combination of high-grade, finely ground lime and AST™ provides the perfect solution. • Sulfur Plus AST™ corrects excess alkalinity in a soil and helps create the acid soil conditions in which many ornamental and vegetable plants thrive.  Beneficial uses include turning hydrangeas blue and producing larger vegetables and fruits.  The presence of sulfur in the soil acts as a soil conditioner and facilitates the absorption of iron by the soil, an essential mineral for the greening and strengthening of green growth. Sulfur Plus AST™ is also ideal for lawns where the pH has become too high.  It’s easy to use and long lasting.
